Self

A human heart and mind are hard to be understood. Just do not know why, an usual thing can be made into a very complicated thing. A simple “just turn right and go straight” way, can be transformed into a very huge and complex labirynth.

A thing that is very common to be experienced by one, can trouble heavily, just because an addition of very slight seasoning, that may not change the essence of the phenomena experienced by one.

The thoughts and emotions roaring the self so that one confused heavily on what is/are actually going one. But when things seems so ‘noisy’ and chaotic, making a noise won’t solve a problem. A noisy environment must be balanced with quietly and silently entering the chamber with bowed knees and pure heart. Heart that willing and longing to find the revealing of the Creator, the only One knows about self, of what actually the self needs and feels. A time that will make self knows better each day, the purpose, the knowledge that may be broken by the environment.

A time where hope of the future remains. Hope that will lead the way and need to be walked by the foot of faith. Faith of the knowledge that He will help and reveal the purpose of a phenomena to those search it with pure heart.

Friends, let the surrounding do not confused you. Let not the heart and mind makes you lost self knowledge. Return to Him, silently and honestly, searching Thy only will.

A pause

Finally get things and time to update this blog. Well, these weeks were journeyed on with lots and lots of things, emotions, occasions, and much more.

Weeks of exams have been passed. Not just paper-exams, of course, but including the exams/trials regarding faith, discipline, thought and so on.

Get a chance to interact despite my laziness, with juniors, senior, and platoon of battle-friends. I can see the struggles, not in just learning technical knowledge
. Struggles faced together. Now I realized more and more, why fellowship among the members of the churches (brothers and sisters), might they be seniors, juniors, or even fellow comrades. The joys shared together, burdens lifted together, sadness cheered together. Thanking Him for them all. For the prayers, for the sharing, for the supports, for the critics, for the advices, and others, that if listed will take long time.

Well, now entering the periods of break. Period where all business of undergraduate will somehow reduced. For some, it may be a time for refresh themselves. For some it may be time to think more about the future, while some may still pursuit their final battle. Well, friends, keep your spirit in everything you do. I may not be in the perfect place to give you advice, for I do not know your struggles. And even if I know, the way I feel is different for they are not my problems, hence the view may be different.

But a song from a famous football club still hanging on my mind, and would like to remind you that you’ll never walk alone. He who have been faithful, will remain faithful. He cares and loves you. Just remember this and do not ever forget this. And if in addition you may, remember also that us, united as brothers and sisters under one solid Rock, will support you in every your struggles.

Don’t give up yourselves for fear, remember where you place your hope and have faith in Him. And do it with love towards Your God. Happy filling your ‘break’ time

Who are they?

Homo (man) socius (companion). Humans are social being, implies that their existences affect and are affected (not caused by) social, surroundings that exist around them. The presence of others will shape one’s characters and one’s behaviors. In some extend, society will play part in shaping one’s role in the future (though it also depends on his/herself).

With the same logic, one’s presence will behave similarly. His specific part on the society affects society in big or small manner. His or her role played can not be substituted by any other. It’s specific and unic. Any things he/she did, will not be the same if the same things were did by others. If you hardly imagine this sentence, you could remember your specific role with the ones you love most and is closest to you (you will get clearer idea what the author means).

 

This thought brings in to the thinking of how importance one’s actions towards others. Remember also, that humans have many marvelous gifts, in the thinking of minds, and in the feeling of emotions, in a way to explain two of them.

When you are doing a thing to others there are several things that will shape it:

1. Other’s meaning in eyes of you.
2. Your responsibility.
3. Your capabilities.

Several questions then raised up. When I did something, do the emotions and his/her feeling and thinking, not only in the time being, but also the future, have come across my mind, even for an glimpse of eyes? Have I put others in quite a proportion of priority? More importantly, have I considered others, even when it seems that others are not affected, in according to what they are supposed to be? They are also human, a status and being that is loved so much by the Creator. If Creator loves every single of them, shouldn’t we follow His example, and treasure every special his/her in our life that surrounds us?

Well, this also reminds myself to be watchful. Often it is said that others, especially closest ones, are so important. But when comes to action, thay may not appear so often, as in actual life-time, in our mind. So just be careful myself, and also my brothers and sisters.

Not beyond

The fastest animal on the land. The body that is aerodynamicaly very good and light, just add the supremity when it hunts its prey. Reaching a speed of about 120 km/hour, you would not want to see that it is coming towards you, and target you.

It’s tremendous speed is counter-balanced with its poor stamina. It can run that fast for a relatively short amount of time, consumes a lot of energy, and need to be recharged before the next run.

It relieves to know that despite its tremendous speed, weakness is still there. Perfection in this time will surely terrible, cause the falling of this world. Relieved that nothing is perfect in this world. The superior has weakness, the inferior has strength. Cheer yourself up if you feel that you are inferior in everything, cause you are not, and you have things that you have not explored. Be humble superior one, for surely you have weakness; it’s just a matter of time before others know the weakness that you know you have.

Talking about stamina, really can’t imagine if it has such. Surely it can catch a prey with it, ; it’s just a matter of time.

Hmm, how if the “endurance” is applied to us. Do we know our goal? If yes then it is good, cause there are others who are still mingling in vain, and false hopes that they think is their goal in their life. But secondly, do we have what it takes to reach there? In a labyrinth, you know that your goal is to escape it. In a dessert, your goal would be to see a green land, marking the end of the dessert. In our life, our goal is to fulfill our tasks assigned while we are on this planet, and bring honour to the Highest. Knowing the direction is not enough, cause trials and temptation will surely siege you somewhere at any instant along your journey. And without endurance, you will surely collapse at any time, before reaching the goal.

Friends, be strong to endure whatever your burden is, may it be projects, tons of working tasks, and assignment, as well as when conflict arises among you. Do not give up, and tell yourself “I have to endure it. Just as I have been passing my life all this time with the help of God and others, I am sure I will pass this. It’s just a matter of time before in a blink of eyes, this trial fades away. I won’t give up, before I reach my purpose and goal in my life. I won’t beaten up by any trials in front of my eyes. My strength in me is sufficient to pass them, and my hope in Him is my strength.”

A Glance of Light

When darkness covers the sky

and cloud fills accompanied by thunder

When despair surrounds you

fear consume your heart

pressurize so hard

that will make you collapse

and blocking your sight towards the horizon

Refreshed

During this weekend, there are thoughts of uncertainty surrounds some of us. Thoughts of what to do, how to spend time, where to get food is a common statements when asked to undergraduate, especially in NTU =p. However, all the worries are then turned into joy and laughter can be heard everywhere I go, when entering the CNY.

Everywhere I went, I saw the smile and heard the joyful tone. People were gathered to cook together, to hang out together, and in some occasion, I became an integral part of that. I could not ask for more than the environment and people around me in these 2 days. The chit-chats we had, really refreshed and woke me up. Don’t know any other words enough to express the feeling, except the alternating repetition of the words thanks and thankful.

 

Well, hopefully, the joy, and the new hope, which are signify the event, may last long, especially when all of us entering our daily life, whether as undergraduates or as profesionals. Let us all renew ourselves in this new phase.

The above raise some thinking issues.When we made mistakes, we tend to hide. Hide from everyone, especially the law giver. We tend to keep so that the only one know, is ourselves. The fear of punishments encourage us to run further.

Well, that reminds me with children. Somehow, they will show similar behavior. They will try to avoid their parents knowing that they will be punished for they mistakes. They embarassed, because they obey the law which is for their own good, and instead, they did things that harm themselves.

But if you could recall, what are your parents asked when you did that during your childhood? Be honest, would most probably be the answer. Parents demand our honest. No matter how hard children try to keep those away, parents will just somehow know, and it is just a matter of time, before they pinpoint it to you, and ask for your responsible. Indeed, honesty teach us to be responsible in what we did. Though it may be wrong to make mistakes, by being responsible, we will grow and become more mature.

But, what about the punishments? The answer is because they love them. But most of the time, people ask, why would be punishment given if love is there? Well,  those two words are not always separated. They can combine in a verb called to teach. Teaching a kid sometimes do require punishment given, to keep the correct behavior being done. And how do we know that love is there? Well, have you ever been punished beyond your limit? That is one of the sign of love presence. Love keeps the purpose and limit of the punishment given, that take part in the education process, and is one of its key component.

May this pondering, help us to be more mature in our thinking and behavior day by day.

Lost in Self

When I feel things aren’t right, I complain

When others others seem wrong, mine is proclaimed

The question is: Are those behaviors correct? We give a reaction or response without knowing the true end, without knowing the true intention of what others did, or feel. If that is the case, who are we to judge other unjusticely, for we did not know possibly a thing in the first place.

Self is hard to remain

To really think and ponder the status one gain

It forgets the role it plays and the tasks it attained

And cause a disharmony in the end.

Who are we by the way to judge?

Are we in the right placeto do so?

Or are we just carried out in the pleasure

The pleasure of correcting others

And pleasure that thinks one is already correct?
